Bats: No composite material can be in any part of the bat (including handle) - single wall or double wall is acceptable.  All bats go through a certification process before they can be used in league play.  See Bat Certification:  RULES | Over The Hill Gang 

Balls: Clinchers (4 new balls per game)

Season starts in April and last into late September/early October.  13 regular season games plus playoffs.

Each team has a 16-man roster.  All 16 players bat and some players will alternate innings playing in the field. 

Teams play one (1) nine inning game per week on Friday nights at Allen Park in Farmingdale.  Games are played on the three of the fields in the park.  See Fields:  RULES | Over The Hill Gang 

Games start at 7:15PM and 8:45PM.  Each team is typically allotted an equal number of games at those two time slots. 

If you are entering the league as a team's "Free Agent" (a team has pre-selected you to play on their team), then there is no tryout for those players.  

If you are entering the league as a "Draft Player", then there is a tryout before the season starts where those players will be evaluated by the twelve team managers and OTHG Board members.  

During the registration process, you can indicate your position preference, and the drafting manager will try to accommodate your preference based on your skill level, players already playing that position on the team you are drafted to and above all the attendance at any particular game.     

The 2025 Season player fees are $215.  $25 of the player fees are allocated toward the OTHG Charity (see below).  The player fees include the league uniform and umpire fees.
